The7th Annual 2007
Florida/Alaska Motorcycle Benefit Run will be from St.
Augustine, Florida to Fairbank, Alaska with almost a full week for you
to explore Alaska either with a group or solo. The route will
have several short days to allow time for laundry, bike maintenance,
etc. Going to Alaska we will do the shortest direct route with
the return trip taking in Logan, Utah to participate in their mini run
and then retutrn via a direct easterly route thru
Wyoming/Nebraska. To
register (please
register ASAP so we can arrange lodging, and definitely
before June 1, 2008), click

Here is a photo
link of a trip Patrick Henry took with me on his 250cc Suzuki!
Here is a testimonial by Dave Stufflebeam :"I
don't
know if waiting till you are 65 years old is the best time
to do this the first time, but I had a blast."
This trip will be
approximately 9,700 miles,
averaging 500 miles a day.
Start is July 3, 2008 in St. Augustine,
Florida. There will be check-in
points daily (ride one day or more). Bikers can opt to share a
hotel room to save on
costs. In 2006, the average cost to bikers sharing rooms was just
$27.01 per day, including tax.
We are accepting bids
for the 7th Annual Run for us
to stop at
various places for mini-runs and mini-rallies, preferrably thru SKI HI,
the organization we are collecting funds for. We are also looking
for five to eight places that want to participate in a POKER RUN where
bikers will stop in, shop, and draw a card to win a major prize. See www.AlaskaBikeRun.com for tentative
schedule and route for 2008.
We are also seeking donations of motorcycles,
luggage racks, and other accessories to be offered as incentives and
prizes.

I will be updating this and add
specific lodging. Most likely, it will be Best
Western due to the ample size of the rooms (to allow two bikers per
room to spread sleeping bags to economize even more).
Starting time each day vary but you, of course, can sleep in and catch
up with us later in the day.
